Question

how are electric fields and gravitational fields different and how are they alike

how are electric fields and gravitational fields different and how are they alike

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Similarities:

  • Electric field lines and gravitational field lines both obey inverse square law.
  • Both electric and gravitational field both acts between two bodies without any means of contact.

Dissimilarities :

  • Gravitational field lines acts on masses ,but electric field lines acts on charge particles.
  • Gravitational field is always attractive, but electric field can be attractive as well as repulsive.
  • Gravitational field are weaker than electric field.
