How do you calculate total velocity when you know the velocity of 2 vectors? For instance...

How do you calculate total velocity when you know the velocity of 2 vectors? For instance Vi2 is -2m/s and Vi1 is 1m/s. Also, how would you calculate the total momentum of two objects knowing the momentum of each?
