a physical pendulum was created by attaching a 17 cm pencil to a 20 cm long string and in the first case I got a frequency of 1.31 Hz . In the second case with a different center of mass and the same string length I got 1.06 Hz which was quite different.

However when I extended the length of the string to 60 cm the frequency in the first center of mass was 0.72 Hz and 0.74 Hz when the center of mass was changed.
