Why do residents of Mexico get less cosmic radiation than residents of Canada?

This phenomina happens due to magnetic force acting on charge particle. Cosmic ray has charge. So the experiences magnetic force and fallow path accoring that. In Mexico, the Earth's magnetic field lines are parallel to the surface of Earth and cosmic rays are bent away from the Earth. In Canada, the Earth's magnetic field lines are perpendicular to the surface, and charged particles such as cosmic rays follow the field lines toward the ground. So residents of Mexico get less cosmic radiation than residents of Canada.
