Of excitation, fluorescence, and phosphorescence, which will produce a spectrum that is most similar to an absorption spectra of the same sample? Justify your answer.

Answer #1

Fluorescence has a spectrum most similar to the absorption spectrum. Since both absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum are observed after a sample is subjected to some kind of electromagnetic radiation. For absorption spectrum, the absorbed wavelengths are missing from the observed, in case of fluorescence the absorbed wavelengths are emitted in the form of longer wavelengths. Thus the gaps in absorption spectrum correspond to the increased wavelengths in the fluorescence spectrum.

Consider speech signal x(t), which has the magnitude spectrum X(f)= rect(f/100). Sketch the magnitude spectrum of the sampled x(t) resulted by conducting natural sampling with the sampling freq 180Hz. Comment on your result. Discuss how to perform digital to analog conversion to recover x(t). Is it possible to fully recover x(t) without distortion? Justify your answer.

Which of the following is the best statement: Generally speaking, most ML algorithms deliver similar performance on a data set. Data quality, rather than ML algorithm capability, is likely the more important driver of ML project success. Out-of-the-box Weka and Driverless AI solutions are generally similar. Traditional ML and AutoML workflows require similar effort and produce similar outcomes. AutoML uses brute force experimentation to develop a final model pipeline.

The visible ultraviolet spectrum of a solution of concentration 9.9 x 10-5mol.L a hydroxy-1-naphthoquinone natural origin was obtained in an optical path cuvette 1 cm. In the wavelength corresponding to 330nm, the compound showed absorbance equal to 0.320. To determine the concentration of a second solution of same compound was obtained in the same conditions, a spectrum in 330nm absorbance showed equal 0.480.
