A person rides in an elevator while standing on a scale. When the elevator is traveling upward but slowing down at a certain rate, the scale shows 450 N. When the elevator is going down and slowing down at the same rate, the reading of the scale is 300 N. What was the magnitude of the elevator’s acceleration in both case?

Homework Answers
