Here in this equation, n is the quantum number for a state.

A black body will remain black at room temperature becz most of the energy radiated is in infrared spectrum and cant be seen by our eye. Our eye cannot perceive light waves below visible frequency, black body is viewed in dark. When it becomes little hot, it appears dull red. As temperature increases, it becomes yellow, white, and finally blue-white. Thus a suppression of higher frequencies happen.
