The third filter (filter C) is oriented so that its polarizing axis is horizontal.

whenever an unpolarized light passes through any filter, its intensity becomes half irrespective of the polarizing axis of the filter and also the unpolarized light gets polarized after passing through the filter and this polarized light has a polarization direction in the direction of polarizing axis of the filter.

therefore, polarization direction with respect to the vertical, of the light after it passes through the first filter is 30 degree.
