Since in both cases the egg has same initial velocity(before impact) and final velocity (=0) so the impulse in same for both cases.

Egg comes to rest faster on floor compared to foam

Avg Force = Impulse / T

Since Tfloor < Tfoam , So Avg Forcefloor > Avg ForceFoam . Thats why egg tends to break off the floor and not on foam

So option B is correct.
