Question

is acceleration equal to gravity?

is acceleration equal to gravity?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

No acceleration is not always equal to acceleration due to gravity. In some case such as in projectile motion or when the ball is released from height or when something is thrown up ,then only acceleration is equals to acceleration due to gravity. But in some cases there are other acceleration acting on an object along with acceleration due to gravity (if every calculation are done on earth as a reference). Then the net acceleration changes and that is not equals to acceleration due to gravity. So acceleration is not always equals acceleration due to gravity. Hope you get the answer.

1. Answer the following about gravity and acceleration. a) There are 2 aspects of acceleration.
