12 Write explanatory accounts on two of the following. In each case describe the physical situation, identify the law of electromagnetism that can be applied to the situation, present the underlying theory and define all parameters introduced. a) the application of the Hall effect to measure the magnetic field,
b) the magnetic field in a toroidal (doughnut shaped) sample of ferromagnetic material overwound by a coil carrying a constant current, where there is a small air gap in the toroid,
c) the self-inductance of a solenoid
