Question

**If you are asked to consider an alternate material of a
tennis racquet frame, what would it be and why (more than 5
reasons)?**

Answer #1

The material which I would consider as an alternate material will be Carbon Fibers. The reasons are:

(1) The material will allow us to make a very lightweight tennis racquet.

(2) The material is strong, and it will able to take up the forces involved while playing tennis.

(3) Strong material, also makes the racquet more durable, as it will be more resistant to breakages.

(4) Easier to manufacture as compared to wood counterparts.

(5) The carbon composite material can be recycled and used again, this helps in reducing the cost of the product, as well as the carbon footprint.

(a) During a tennis serve, the ball leaves the server's racquet
horizontally 2.5 m above the court surface. What is the required
launch speed for the ball to barely clear the net, which is 15 m
away and 0.90 m high? (For simplicity, assume the ball travels
along the middle of the court, rather than diagonally.) m/s (b) How
far beyond the net does the ball land? m past the net (c) What
launch speed would be required to have...

1. When you are asked what the motion of an object is relative
to a frame of reference, what velocity does an observer in that
frame of reference imagine that s/he has?
2. Tim is walking down the aisle of a speeding bus and tosses a
coin into the air. Matthew is standing on the sidewalk outside.
Draw the trajectory of the coin from Tim's frame of reference.
Draw the trajectory of the coin from Matthews frame of
reference.

Consider the hunger question. Define both the null and alternate
statistical hypotheses you would use here to answer Super Size’s
research question. If the p-value of your test was 0.0231, what
would you conclude? Explain why, referring to a definition of
p-value as you do so. Use 250 words or less to answer these
questions.

Frame the hypotheses that you would use in testing the
following claims; identify the claim between the two hypotheses.
(5x4=20 pts)
(a) The mean is no more than 47. (5)
(b) The mean is no less than 90. (5)
(c) On average more than 120 students apply for study abroad.

(d) At most 30% students receive financial aid meeting their full
need. (5)

Parveen restrings tennis racquets. Her fixed costs are
$1,000/month, and it costs her $15 of labour to string one racquet.

a) Calculate Parveen's profit-maximizing price, output, price
and economic profit, show your work with a chart (8 points) b) Do
you expect other firms to enter the tennis racquet restringing
business and compete with Parveen?...

Would you expect a material in which the atomic bonding is
predominantly ionic in nature to be more or less likely to form a
noncrystalline solid upon solidification than a covalent material?
Why? Please explain, thank you

You are asked to purify a hexokinase. Discuss the parameters you
would consider in sourcing and selecting such an enzyme, and
briefly indicate how you would stabilize these proteins on
isolation. In answering this question, you should ask and answer
the following questions.
A. What is a hexokinase?
B Which hexokinase would you think of purifying? Why? Think
where would you find lots of this enzyme in a mammal? (You should
be able to get this organ easily at the...

What kind of material would you choose to make a cookware (pots
and pans)? Would you want to choose a material with a large
specific heat capacity or a small specific heat capacity, and why?
explain in brief with example.

(Use the R studio to find the answer.)
5. Consider the Batting data frame from the Lahman library.
a) How many observations and how many variables does Batting
contain?
(b) Use filter from the dplyr library to make a new data frame
with just the information from yearID 2015. How many observations
does this contain?
(c) Who had the most Bases on Balls (BB) in 2015? (You can just
give the player ID)
(d) How many players had more than...

I asked 6 people how many hours they spent playing tennis per
week. These individuals said 3, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 1. What is the test
statistic with a significance level of .1?
