Amy and Britney are twins. Britney travels into space at the speed of 0.8c and Amy remains on Earth. If Amy observed the trip to take 12 years, how long would Britney observe the trip to take? With reference to Einstein's theory of special relativity, explain the difference in the answer.

according to eistein's theory of relativity, relative motion between objects chages the rate at which tims passes. As the relative speed increases, rate at which time passes decreses. Hence, Due to this effect time for an object moving near to spped of light runs slower and for stationary objects runs faster. This is why here time measured in amy's frame of reference (stationary) is more than measured in Briteny's frame of reference (moving).
