Can a person with a longer near point see an object as closely with the unaided eye as can a person with the shorter near point?

Answer #1

Answer : false

A person with a longer near point canot see an object as closely with the unaided eye as can a person with the shorter near point. because longer near point is the defect in which person canot see the object of far distance clearly as they see the near object clearly. on the other hand shorter near point is the defect in which person canot se the object of shorter distance clearly but they can veiw the object of far clearly. in this case since the eyeball is too short or eye lens’s refractive power is too weak hence the image instead is of being forming upon the retina, its forms behind the retina. so beacuse of this image is not formed on ratina and person cannot see object of far.

2. Correcting vision: quantitative. Corrective lenses work because the lens bends light such that it, combined with the eye itself, light forms a clear image on the retina. Another way to think about this is that the corrective lens (glasses) form an image of the object at a location where the eye can see clearly without corrective lenses. For a nearsighted person viewing an object very far away (object at infinity), the lens corrective lens creates an image at the...
