Can low mass stars ignite the second stage of fusion? Why not?
Star are created though the nuclear fusions process where huge amount mass gatherd and due to gravity create emense pressure, elements are start squeeze under the pressure . As As pressure increase is the temperature also started Rising and its rich a certain point Where are the nuclear fission take place between the lighter element (hydrogen to Helium and periodically upward elements it's stop iron nickel) and release huge amount of energy
But this process is happened only at certain range that is called Chandrasekhar limit from 1.4 mass of sun to 50-60 mass of sun.
For low mass star this is not possible as its temperature not high enough for the nuclear fusion reaction
