Quantitatively explain how (i.e. by what factor) the capacitance AND stored energy would change given the following modifications. (Take each part on is own, not as a series of events!)

(a) Halving the plate separation.

(b) Removing the polystyrene so that there is an air gap.

(c) Halving the plates’ radii.

(d) Replacing the 1.5 V battery with a 9 V battery.
