That box up there on that table has a mass of 10 kg. It is in contact with a spring that is compressed 5 cm from its equilibrium position. The spring has a stiffness constant of 1000 kg/s^2. There is no friction between the box and the table and the table is 1 meter high.

Once the spring is released it will push the box forward with its full extension at which point, the box will leave the surface of the table.

How far will the box go in the 'x' direction once it leaves the table, before it hits the floor?
