a selenoid of 50 turns/cm carries a current of 2.0 amps suppose a proton is fired straight down the axis of the selenoid with a speed of 2.0x10-6 m/s. What force does the proton field?

I do not understand if the velocity of the proton and magnetic field make an angle what formula to used? show work and please explain
