Longitudinal wave - the wave is vibrating  in the same direction as that in which the wave is traveling.

Mechanical wave - wave there is an oscillation of matter need for the transfer of energy through a medium.

Electromagnetic waves - oscillation of matter is not needed for the transfer of energy (no medium required )
