Why does the term “ground” come into play when dealing with electricity of any kind?
The term ground comes into play during dealing with electricity because ground is used as the reference to measure the voltage .
Ground suppressed the over voltage of equipment. In case of graound fault high ground current can be prevented to flow through the ground providing resistive earthing.
Grounding should be done at each voltage level and should be done at source end because if grounding is done at load end it is be difficult to ensure that the load will always remain connected, if load is not in service then grounding will also be disconnected.
