The first child is sitting to the right of the pivot, this creates a turning effect about the pivot moving the seesaw in a clockwise direction
This effect is called a "The moment of a force" = Force x distance to the pivot

Here the force is the weight of the body

So here the first child has a moment of 35kg x 2 m = 70 clockwise

To balance this out, the other child must create a moment of 70 anti-clockwise

So 70 = 30 x distance from pivot

She must sit at a distance of 70 / 30 = 2.33 m from the pivot on the opposite side to the first child
