In kinematics, what do we physically mean by equation Vx=V0x?

In kinematics, what do we physically mean by equation Vx=V0x?

Answer #1

Answer :

Here, Vx is the x-component of the velocity of the given object after some time t.

And, V0x is the x-component of the Initial velocity of the object.

.

Therefore,  Vx = V0x  means that the x-component of the velocity remains constant. In other words there will be no acceleration of the object along x-axis.

This condition is used in Projectile motion, Where the horizontal component of the velocity remains constant - Because there is no horizontal acceleration (or Horizontal force) acting on the object.
