Why does light passing through a prism not always create a rainbow but sometimes creates two lines one with red and one with blue on the other side and white light in between them?
To create rainbow seven color (VIBGYOR) we need narrow white light and glass of prism must be able to bend the path of light accorndingly Snell's law. Diffrent wavelengths in white light has different beding inside the prism medium and results in splitting all seven color. Sometimes there is ovelapping in colors os spectrum due to prism material is not able to bend these component wavelengths. If light is not white we can't be able to make seven color.
I will be glad to see your comment if you have any query and thum up if you are satisfied. Thanks...
