What is the function of each of the following X-Ray Diffraction components:

X-Ray tube, X-Ray generator, crystal monochromator, X-Ray shield and viewng chamber, detector.

Answer #1

X-Ray tube: - Its function is to help to make the vacuum inside the tube otherwise X-Ray production will reduce very much and you can put whole system in open air. X-Ray generator: - whole setup of the X-Ray is called X-Ray generator and it provides the characteristic as well as continuous X-Rays. Crystal Monochromator: - In XRD we use single wavelength X-Ray. So, the function of monochromator to make the different wavelength X-ray to single wavelength X-ray. X-Ray shield: - It is the product to protect the body from X-Ray
