A virtual object is an object which does not exist in real physically but can be seen with the help of other intruments such as mirror, lens. For example consider two plan mirrors placed parallel to each other and an object is placed between them now the image of the object will be form in the mirror as another mirror is in front of it the image formed in the mirror wll act as the object for the second mirror and its image will be formed somewhere in the first mirror hence by multiple reflections. So in the given example as we can see that the image formed from one mirror is acting as the object for the other mirror which perfect example of the virtual object that is not in real but we can see that object in the mirror.
