Answer #1

The induced emf is given by e =NBAW

For a time period of 3 s induced emf is given by

                                             e=(51)(0.40)(0.26)(2pi/3) =11.10V

For a time period of 6s induced emf is given by

                                             e=(51)(0.40)(0.26)(2pi/6) =5.55V

For a time period of 9s induced emf is given by

                                             e=(51)(0.20)(0.26)(2pi/9) =1.85V

If the wire has 50ohms resistance then cuurent is given by

V =IR then i =V/R

Then at 3s is i =11.10/50 =0.23A

             9s is i=1.85/50 =0.037A

A magnetic field passes through a stationary wire loop, and its magnitude changes in time according to the graph in the drawing. The direction of the field remains constant, however. There are three equal time intervals indicated in the graph: 0—3.0 s, 3.0—6.0 s, and 6.0—9.0 s. The loop consists of 40 turns of wire and has an area of 0.21 m2. The magnetic field is oriented parallel to the normal to the loop. For purposes of this problem, this...

A loop of wire is in a magnetic field such that its axis is parallel with the field direction. Which of the following would result in an induced emf in the loop? The illustration below shows a loop of wire with area A and a uniform magnetic field B that goes through the loop. (The field fills the whole area of the page, but it is simpler to make one drawing.) The area vector and B-field direction are both in the plane of the page. The loop is perpendicular to it, but drawn in a perspective view so that you can see it is a loop. The B-field has a constant magnitude...
