Constrained System: - Limitations on the motion of a system are called constraints and the motion is said to be constrained motion of the system. Example: - (i) Particle allowed to move on the circumference of the circle. (ii) Rolling disc. (iii) Simple pendulum with rigid support. Unconstrained System: - Means free motion, a motion of the system with any restriction or constrained is called unconstrained and motion is said to be unconstrained systems motion. Example: - (i) Free fall. (ii) Simple pendulum without rigid support (simple pendulum).
