A jumper in the long-jump goes into the jump with a speed of 18 m/s at an angle of 20° above the horizontal. How long is the jumper in the air before returning to the Earth?
(My answer is 3.3s but that's not an option on my homework, not sure what's wrong, please help thank you.)
in order to find the time the jumpet stayed in the air we have to consider the vartical component of motion of the jumper. At the top position , the jumper's vartical speed is zero.
