when two resistrs R1,R2 are connected in series current flowing through them is same.

sum of the potential drops across each resistor is equal to the applied voltage.

when resistors R1,R2 are connected in parallel connection the voltage drops across each resistor is same as the applied voltage.and current flowing through resistor will be different

kirchoff junction rule: sum of the currents entering the junction is equal to sum of the currents leaving the junction

at junction C i=i1+i2
