Draw the circuit below, assign a name to the current in R1 and R2 and indicate which direction it flows.

Assuming that the values for the Resistors and Batteries were given, write a system of equations that could be solved to find the current in each of the branches of the circuit. For each equation – state where it comes from. (e.g., state the physics principle, law, theorem, rule, etc. that leads to the equation you wrote)

Now assume the following information is given:

1 =13V,  ℰ2 =10V, R1=5 Ohms, R2=2 Ohms, R3=4 Ohms, I3 = 2A

Find the heat dissipated by each of the resistors and the power supplied by each of the batteries. Do you notice anything about the energy flow in the circuit? If so, Explain.
