Hi. Is this statement right?

Velocity depends on the speed and direction of an object to be true. While an object travels at a constant speed and at constant direction there will be a constant velocity.

True indeed that velocity solely depends on the speed and the direction of an object. Hence, while an object travels at a constant speed and at constant direction there will be a constant velocity. This happens when the object travels on a straight line with a constant speed.

velocity = displacement / time

While moving on a straight line, it maintains a constant direction. Hence, its velocity is unchanged. Similarly, if an object moves on a circular path with a constant speed, its velocity won't be constant.
