In an LC circuit you have what happens to the time required for the capacitor charge to oscillate through a complete cycle if you double the capacitance and halve the inductor?
The charging and discharging time is known as the time constant. Hence in a LC circuit time constant is given by =Equivalent Inductance /Equivalent Capacitance.
As it is given that capacitance is doubled and Inductance is halfed.
We get time constant =(1/2)L/2C = (1/4)L/C.
Hence we conclude that after doing such things the new time constant is decreased by a factor of 4.hence that is our answer that time of charging or discharging of the circuit is reduced by 4 times.
