During the physics course, a lot of problems were solved and their answers were discussed. Which one of them was very impressive for you. Write that question, give the solution and explain each point with your own words.
Question
A boy is rotating a stone tied with a rope in horizontal circle of radius 0.5 m. The mass of stone is 2 kg and tangential velocity of stone is 2 m/s. Calculate the tension in the rope.
Solution: The tension in the rope, T will be equal to centripetal force (Fc).
==>T = mV^2/R
[where, m = mass, v = velocity, R = radius]
==>T = 2*2^2/0.5
==>T = 16 N (ANSWER)
