Which of the following physical principles always holds true to the best of our current scientific understanding, regardless of the choice of system?

a.The law of conservation of energy

b.The work-energy theorem

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution:

The law of conservation of energy always holds true to the best as it states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed it can be changed from one from to another, so energy will be conserved in any case irrsespective of the system.

work energy theorem will not always be true, as it states that change in kinetic energy is equal to work done but there is always some loss of energy in some form, hence we can say it is not as holds true as principle of conservation of energy.

thanks.
