Imagine we are designing a low power (draws only a tiny current)
DC circuit; a mobile device circuit in which is saving power is
critical is a good example. Assuming the battery supply a
constant voltage across it, what design strategy
would save the most of the battery power?
A) keeping the resistance across the battery to minimum possible value
B) keeping the resistance across the battery to maximum possible value
C) short circuit the battery
D) none of the above
B) keeping the resistance across the battery to maximum possible value ANS
We have a DC circuit and our aim is to draw minimum current from the source. Using Ohm's law
V=IR
I=V/R
SO I is inversely proportional to the R. So higher the resistance across the battery lower current we will draw from battery..
Please let me know if it was helpful. Thanks
A) can't be because low resistance will draw high current.
C) can't be too because short circuit will be draw maximum current..
