List 3 consequences of the melting of polar ice caps due to global warming. Identify any feedback mechanisms resulting from such melting. Are they positive or negative feedbacks?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The melting polar ice caps have very much negative effects on seas and thus on the environment. Because melting ice causes the increase in sea level as the ice is moving from lands to sea in the form of water. And this increase in sea level is effecting the ocean currents and thus it change the living conditions of marine organisms so it will be difficult for them to survive. And if they unable to sustain, they will indirectly effect the environment.

This indirectly leads to climate changes.
