I was able to do part B but I cant get A and C.
PART A.
Find the xx- and yy-components of the vector d⃗ d→ = (8.0 kmkm , 23 ∘∘ left of +y+y-axis).
PART C.
Find the xx- and yy-components of the vector a⃗ a→ = (10 m/s2m/s2 , 37 ∘∘ left of −y−y-axis).
Here we have given that,
Part A
d = 8 km , 23° left of y axis
So
X component of d will be given as,
Xd = 8 sin23 ° = 3.125 (-i) km
Y component of d will be given as,
Yd = 8 cos 23° = 7.3640 (+j) km
Part C
Now for the vector a we have,
a = 10 km , 37° left of -y axis
So that,
X component of a will be
Xa = 10 sin37° = 6.0181(-i) km
Y component of a will be,
Ya = 10cos37° = 7.98635 (-j) km
