1.) during lightening storm we avoid trees because trees are good comductor of electricity. If we stay near tree, we may face electric currents of any voltage. that may be too high that may burn our body togather with green trees.

2.) ailplane are made up of matal but during lightening passangers are safe insinde from any current by lightening storm because airplane are of matalic hollow structured. Inside any conducting hollow structure total charges become zero and hence no electric field exist and hence passangers are safe from lightening to stuck them. It is fully safe to sit inside your car during lightening storm. the reason is same ' zero electric field inside hollow conducting structure.
