2) How do resonant frequencies occur, and what are there role in the creation of sound in a musical instrument.

1.Frequency is defined as number of cycle per unit time i.e. f = 1/T

and in case of sound it also give us idea about shrillness of sound i.e. Higher frequency have higher shrillness

eg. Whistle sound,voice of girl etc have high frequency where as lower frequency have lower shrillness for example voice of buffelow, Sound of distant cloud lightning etc

2. When natural frequency become equal to induced frequency then it is called resonant frequency and at this time amplitude become very high which makes sound louder and sharper hence in musical instrument it is desireble thing at various place in music.
