When applying for flight school, applicants have to complete a battery of motor skill/ability assessments as part of the application process. One test requires the applicant to steer a control device through a maze at different speeds (slow and fast) and land the device at the target time of 10 seconds. They measure performance accuracy to compare applicants, predict potential, and assist in flight school selection. Below are the average results (error scores) of these tests for two applicants. Results are measured in seconds.
