Laser pumping is the process in which the energy is given to the electrons so that they go to higher excited state to achieve population inversion which is necessary condition for the emission of laser. So in nut shell we pump the electrons or we can say we provide them energy to excite them to higher energy levels. As when they come back they emit laser by the process of stimulated emission. Hence option B is the correct answer.
