If you want to cool your inoculation loop quickly there are following methods:

1. After heating the inoculation loop you can cool down loop by pressing in untouched agar plate. This is very common method and normally use in Microbiology lab. This method will not affect your streaking result. By this method you can do every type of straking like gradient streak, simple streak and tree streak etc.

2. By using 70% alcohol, after heating the loop you can dip your in alcohol which lead cool down quickly. And alcohol vapourise very soon. But some ignoring this shortcut because they think this will affect bactrial growth or main plate.
