S= 0.533(km) i -0.368(km) j = 533 (m) i -368 (m) j
The net displacement of the Elen is shown by OC
OC = [AB² + (OA+AC)²]^1/2 = [0.368² +(0.352+0.181)²]^1/2
OC = 0.648 km
Now the Average velocity = Total displacement /total time
= 0.648*1000/(21.7*60) = 0.498 m/s
Now the velocity vector will be given by
v = S /t = [533 i -368 j]/(21.7*60) = 0.4094 i - 0.283 j
Now the direction of the average velocity
tan = -0.283/0.4094
