a) A digital image is divided into a matrix of small picture elements or pixels. Increasing the matrix size without changing the field of view will produce smaller pixels.

b) DICOM stands for Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine. It is the standard for the communication and management of medical imaging information and related data. It enables the integration of medical devices like scanners, servers, workstations, printers, network hardware and PACS from different manufacturers.

c)i. Once we acquire and image on PACS it cannot be lost, stolen, or misfiled.

ii) Using PACS terminals same image can be viewed simultaneously at multiple locations.
