Which colour probes, when properly inserted, go into which holes of a multimeter in the ohm and voltage measuring mode. And, given a positive voltage measurement, in this properly set meter, which way will the current flow?

For the measurement of resistance, voltage and small currents (<200 mA), insert the black probe in the common point and red probe in the V point which is on the right side of the multimeter. And for the large current measurement, insert the red probe in the 10A point (on the left side of the multimeter).

The black probe is connected to the ground of the battery and red probe to the positive terminal. So, the current flow from the positive terminal to the terminal.
