Determine the resultant of adding the following three vectors. R = A + B + C

A = 5.00 cm, 30 degrees northeast            B = 8.00 cm, 45 degrees southeast            C = 10.00 cm, 60 degrees southwest

(a) Use graph paper and carefully sketch the vectors tip to tail. Draw and measure the resultant vector with the ruler and protractor. Label all vectors. Include both magnitude (length) and direction (angle). Do not calculate the answers!

(b) Find the x and y components algebraically for each vector and then adding the x and y components to determine the resultant vector. Include both magnitude and direction of the resultant. Show your work.
