Moore's law: what are the current predictions?
Moore's Law is named after Intel cofounder Gordon Moore. He observed in 1965 that transistors were shrinking so fast that every year twice as many could fit onto a chip, and in 1975 adjusted the pace to a doubling every two years.
now, since 2011, there have been predictions regardind that the transistors will soon reach the limit where they cannot be shrunken further. then we can expect the improvements in processing from other factors like efficitn chip design etc, and not just by making the transistors smaller
