Question

Explain Tycho's contribution to Kepler's laws of planetary motion.

Answer #1

Tycho's observations were accurate enough for Kepler to discover that the planets moved in elliptic orbits, and his other laws, which gave Newton the clues he needed to establish universal inverse-square gravitation.

Kepler realized that Tycho's work could settle the question one way or the other, so he went to work with Tycho in 1600. Tycho died the next year, Kepler stole the data, and worked with it for nine years.

Then kepler was able to come up with kepler's law.

Describe Kepler's three laws and how they differ from the
proposed thories of planetary motion.

(Satellite Simulation)
Theory: State Kepler’s laws of planetary motion (all three).
Include the diagrams and formula as well.

Kepler’s Laws of Planetary Motion:
1. A satellite is placed into geosynchronous orbit around the
Earth (That means that it orbits once per day and thus stays above
the same location over the Earth). Compute the distance from the
Earth that the satellite is at.

Kepler's 3 Laws of motion describe orbital motions as ellipses.
This question will test your knowledge about ellipses and help you
apply Kepler's Laws to elliptical problems.
Which of the following is true about ellipses?
Check all that apply.
Check all that apply.
An ellipse has two focal points.
An ellipse has an oval shape.
An ellipse has the sum of the distances from the focal points to
the surface of the ellipse is constant.
A circle is a special...

Explain what Marx meant by “the laws of capitalist motion.”

21) What are kepler's laws?
22) What is the difference between a "planet" and a "dwarf
planet?"

Kepler’s Laws of Planetary Motion:
1. A newly discovered exoplanetary system has a planet orbiting
its host star at 50 times the distance from the Earth to the sun.
If the orbital period of the planet is 40 Earth years, what is the
mass of the host star?
2. The mass of the Earth is approximately 6 × 1026
kg. If the moon takes 27 days to orbit the Earth, how far is the
moon from the Earth?
3. A...
