Thomas and Ashley are swimming in a river which is 15 m wide.
Both swim with a speed u = 1.2 m/s relative to the water, which is
flowing downstream at a speed v = 0.25 m/s. They both leave a point
on one bank at the same time. Thomas swims directly upstream a
distance 15 m, then turns back and swims downstream to his starting
point. Ashley points herself so that, taking account of the
current, she can swim to a point directly across the river and then
turns around and swims directly back to their starting point. How
much time does each take to make their 30 m round trips?
Note: do the problem non-relativistically
