A biomass power generation plant is located in Baltimore, Maryland. The plant owner desires to connect this plant to the electric grid. The grid voltage at the point of connection is 12,000 Volts. In order to synchronize with the grid, the plant electric generator voltage output has to been within +/- 0.05% of the grid voltage and the output frequency has to be within +/-0.02% of the grid voltage frequency.

a) What is the acceptable range of generator output voltage?

b) What is the acceptable range of the generator output voltage frequency?
